12u state champs' next goal is to win the regional tournament

Webb City’s 12u Little League All Stars came back last week at Sunny Jim Park in Joplin to avenge an early loss and defeat the Daniel Boone team twice to become the Missouri State Champions.

On Tuesday night, they rode atop fire engines in a send-off parade as parents, siblings and other well-wishers cheered them on to compete in the Midwest Region Tournament.

Now they’re near Indianapolis, Ind., awaiting their first game, which will be a 10 a.m. Friday against Nebraska. You can keep track of their progress on the bracket online.  The tournament winner will advance to the Little League World Series.
