4th of 5 Greystone II phases approved
The Oronogo Board of Aldermen on Monday approved the final plat for the fourth of five phases of the Greystone II subdivision.
That means Schuber-Mitchell Homes is ready to proceeding on the next 22 lots (78-99) in the subdivision that is east of the original Greystone subdivision.
There are 31 more lots in the fifth phase, for a total of 130.
As for the first three phases, Tony Cantrell, superintendent of public works, told the board, “Houses are going up fast and new residents are joining the community.”
Also during the regular board meeting, a council bill to raise wages for employees in the administrative and police departments was tabled. There was further discussion during a closed session.
Ray Haydaripoor received approval to rehabilitate a condemned house he has purchased at 356 S. Fourth St., with the intent to sell or rent it. He has agreed to follow directions from city inspector Joel Beck. If it’s not feasible, he said he would be willing to tear it down.
Board members encouraged him but cautioned him not to make the site a hazard during the process.
City Clerk Cyndi Jennings told the board she is continuing to search for a firm to clean City Hall once a week, with a deep cleaning once a month.
The Webb City Sentinel isn’t a newspaper – but it used to be, serving Webb City, Missouri, in print from 1879-2020. This “newspaper” seeks to carry on that tradition as a nonprofit corporation.
