7-6 Boys head into annual three-day Frontenac tourney

Webb City boys basketball will play Ft. Scott at 8:30 p.m. Thursday in the opening round of the annual Frontenac tournament.

The 7-6 Cardinals’ opponents on Friday and Saturday will be determined by wins and losses.

Both Webb City girls and boys teams will play at home Tuesday against Springfield Central.

Winter homecoming is set for Friday, Feb. 6.

The Cardinals went 1-1 on their recent road trips.

They were defeated 56-51 at Hillcrest on Friday. Jackson Adams and Rylan Houston led the scoring, with 13 and 12 points, respectively. Hudson Matthiesen had six rebounds.

They got their seventh win (72-36) Tuesday at Lebanon.
