Congratulations to our community leaders who have done so much to sustain, maintain, and grow Webb City! Thank you to business owners who provide everything anyone would need from farm equipment to nuts and bolts, beautiful flowers, delicious food, brand new hotel accommodations, manufacturing, fragrant candles, best farmers market in the area, or that perfect new sweater or hat with socks to match! Thank you to our very strong and highly respected school district and those who are working hard to build beautiful new homes for the children and teachers who call it home. Thank you to our Chamber of Commerce that works tirelessly to support and promote all of these enterprises. Truly, our hometown has so much to offer and is managed by such honorable stewards! Thank you!
Hopefully, not to detract from sincere gratefulness, I must ask the question once again… with all the success and growth we see and anticipate, could it be time to consider a swimming pool? We have plenty of space and lots of kids who would love it! It doesn’t have to be grandiose (I even have drawings and measurements that would provide zero-entry, swim lanes, diving area, kiddie pool, and poolside sunning). Could we have some open meetings to discuss this possibility?

Webb City’s Carolyn McGowan is directing the procedure in memory of Annie Clarkson. More than 30 local singers and musicians will be performing.

It will be held from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 14.

Cardiovascular disease is the number one killer of women, causing one in five deaths each year. But only 55% of women realize heart disease puts their life at risk. It is important to know how to spot the warning signs of a heart attack and get medical help right away. For women, the warning signs are different from those for men.
Freeman Health System President and Chief Executive Officer Paula Baker will join employees in wearing red on Friday, Feb. 4, to raise awareness of heart disease and its warning signs during Go Red for Women.
The American Heart Association celebration is part of American Heart Month celebrated each February. To call attention to heart disease in women, Baker is dressing in red and paying a visit to the physicians and staff who save women’s lives with the latest treatments and procedures.
Every minute of every day, heart disease takes the life of someone’s mother, daughter, wife, sister or aunt – that’s why it’s so important to know how to spot the warning signs of a heart attack and get medical help right away. For women, the warning signs are different from those for men and can include angina (dull and heavy or sharp chest pain or discomfort); pain in the neck, jaw or throat; pain in the upper abdomen or back; nausea; vomiting and fatigue.
