06:03 – Officers were dispatched to 24 Roundabout for a motor vehicle accident. While investigating the crash, a Kansas license plate was found.
Friday, April 15
14:00 – Officers were dispatched to 2619 N. Rangeline Road, Clean Vapors LLC, for a private property motor vehicle accident where a male subject was trying to leave the scene and his vehicle had caught fire.
16:00 – Officers were dispatched to 13th and Madison Streets for a two-vehicle crash with no injuries.
13:05 – I was dispatched to MacArthur Drive and Oronogo Street for a two-vehicle, non-injury, traffic crash.
15:23 – I arrived at the station for a report of a hit-and-run traffic crash. The victim advised she was traveling south on Madison Street near 14th Street when a black Cadillac Escalade pulled out in front of her and they crashed. The driver of the Escalade left the scene without stopping.
Saturday, April 16
17:19 – I was dispatched to the station in reference to a theft which had occurred near 311 S. Webb St. The victim reported someone entered her vehicle and stole her school backpack and Chrome Book. In the process, several pairs of women’s shoes, not belonging to her were left inside her car.
12:20 – I was dispatched to 207 S. Roane St. for a theft. The caller reported someone entered and stole a GPS unit from his car sometime during the overnight hours.
Officers were dispatched to 1916 Bluebird Drive for a domestic assault in progress. One female was arrested.
11:10 – Officers responded to the area of First and Webb streets for a property damage call.
Sunday, April 17
11:17 – I was dispatched to the station in reference to a report of fraud that had occurred in the 600 block of S. Hall St. The victim reported sending money to a fraudulent company claiming taxes needed to be paid in advance of a lottery winning.
17:15 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart for a theft in progress. One male and one female were arrested.
23:22 – I was dispatched to 614 N. Walker St. in reference a residential structure fire.
10:50 – I was contacted at WCPD in reference to theft at 710 S. Oronogo St.
On 04/18/2022 at 1132 hours, I was dispatched to 305 N. Webb for a past-tense theft. A report was generated.
Monday, April 18
08:08 – Officers were dispatched to 18 Roundabout in reference to a two-vehicle accident..
12:49 – I was contacted at WCPD for a past-tense burglary that occurred at 1427 W. Daugherty St.
09:07 – I was contacted at WCPD for a past-tense identity theft that occurred at 319 S. Roane St., the victim’s address.
Tuesday, April 19
08:09 – I was dispatched to 711 W. Third St. in reference to a vehicle crash.
15:47 – I was dispatched to 109 S. Tom St. in reference to an animal bite. A child was bitten by an animal at large. The animal was located and transported for containment.
I was advised of a past-tense child molestation report that was being passed on to me from the Jasper County Children’s Division. The alleged incident was reported to have taken place in the 1700 block of Blue Jay Drive in the month of January.
14:24 – Officers were dispatched to the area of 14th and Ellis streets in reference to a disturbance. An adult male was taken into custody.
Wednesday, April 20
91:30 – Officers were dispatched to Kum and Go, 411 S. Madison St., in reference to a theft. A 33-year-old male was taken into custody for stealing and possession of drug paraphernalia.
07:29 – I was dispatched to 334 S. Webb St. in reference to a theft from a motor vehicle.
15:10 – I was contacted at WCPD in reference to a theft at 1127 S. Oronogo St.
22:03 – I was dispatched to 2077 Stadium Drive in reference a medical with law call. One adult male was taken to the hospital for a mental health evaluation.
09:24 – I was dispatched to MacArthur Drive and College Street in reference to a motor vehicle accident.
Thursday, April 21
09:00 – I took a report of assault that occurred on a school bus in the 800 block of W. First St. One female juvenile was charged with assault.
08:26 – Officers were dispatched to 201 S. Tom St. for a disturbance. A 21-year-old Webb City man was arrested on an active shoplifting warrant. No other action was required for the initial disturbance call.
Officers were dispatched to 32 S. Main St. Apt 5 for a disturbance in progress. Two males were taken into custody.
20:54 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a theft that had just occurred. I issued a summons for shoplifting to one 68-year-old female for shoplifting.
Friday, April 22
05:36 – I recovered found property at 506 N. Liberty St.
Officers were dispatched to the 418 N. Ball St. in reference to a property damage incident involving two vehicles.
16:27 – I arrived at Madison and Fourth streets reference a motor vehicle accident. No injuries were reported , both vehicles were towed from the scene.
21:07 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart for a trespass in progress and shoplifting. A 42-year-old female was arrested and issued citations.
Saturday, April 23
16:12 – An officer was dispatched to Broadway and Ball Street for a two-vehicle non-injury accident.
Officers were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a reference to a past-tense shoplifting where a former employee had been suspected of stealing items from SmartStyle.
20:30 – An officer was dispatched to 702 W. Daugherty St. in reference to possible harassment. Charges of harassment and making a false police report will be sent to the municipal prosecutor on a 48-year-old male.
The Webb City Sentinel isn’t a newspaper – but it used to be, serving Webb City, Missouri, in print from 1879-2020. This “newspaper” seeks to carry on that tradition as a nonprofit corporation.
