Wanda J. Darby, age 79, of Webb City, passed away at 1:28 p.m. Monday at her home surrounded by her family. 

Wanda was born Nov. 15, 1942, in Carterville, and had lived in the Webb City area all her life. Wanda retired in 2008 as vice-president of operations for Webb City Bank, now Mid-Missouri Bank, after 34 years of service. She was a member of Christ’s Church of Oronogo and a member of the Webb City Boosters Club.

Wanda married Donald Darby Sept. 3, 1960, in Webb City. He preceded her in death on Feb. 5, 2017.

Survivors include one son, Keith Darby and wife Debbie, Webb City; one daughter, Gina Stevens and husband Phil, Webb City; two brothers, Floyd “Pooch” Marrs, Joplin, and Jerry Marrs and wife Linda, Joplin; one sister, Janice Campbell and husband Richard, Webb City; and four grandchildren, Garrett Gallion, Shelby Lindsey and husband Jay, Austin Darby, and Addison Darby and fiancé Will Larson.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Christ’s Church of Oronogo Student East Building, with Lynn Ragsdale, minister, officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Thursday at the Mason-Woodard Mortuary in Joplin. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the Shriner’s Hospital, in care of the mortuary.
