Led by Olympian Brett Harper, several members of the Webb City Police Department showed support for Missouri Special Olympics Tuesday by doing a torch run in Webb City. They were escorted by police and fire vehicles as they ran north on Madison Street, east on Stadium Drive and south on Main Street.

Monday, April 30
Officers were dispatched to the storage buildings at First and Hall streets at about 1300 hours for a past-tense theft report.

14:55 – I was dispatched to Oronogo Street and Broadway for a motor vehicle accident.

11:00 – I was dispatched to Madison Street and Fountain Road for a motor vehicle accident.
Friday, May 6
14:16 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a past-tense shoplifting. Two adult females were taken into custody.
22:08 – Officers were dispatched to the area of Tom and Second streets for a disturbance in progress.
23:56 – I was northbound on Madison Street at 14th Street when I observed a black in color moped traveling northbound with no rear tail light. A 63-year-old male was arrested for driving while revoked.
Saturday, May 7
20:04 – An officer was dispatched to 1802 S. Oronogo in reference to a past-tense assault. The victim had left prior to officers arrival.
16:06 – I was dispatched to 824 S. Walker for a disturbance. A male was later taken into custody for property damage.
15:46 – An officer made a traffic stop on Ash Street at Broadway. One adult male was taken into custody.
00:45 – I observed a vehicle make several traffic violations at Seventh and Madison streets, and a traffic stop was made. A 25-year-old was arrested for DWI.
Sunday, May 8
20:35 – Officers were dispatched to 4506 Dirt Road for a domestic assault. A 40-year-old female was arrested for domestic assault.
11:25 – Officers were dispatched to Hawthorne Road and County Road 230 for a check well being. One adult female was taken into custody.
Monday, May 9
05:40 – A theft from a motor vehicle at 1604 S. Ellis St. was reported.
11:00 – Officers were dispatched to 952 McKenzie Circle in reference to a neighbor having issues with items being thrown into her yard.
11:50 – Officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Anderson Drive in reference to a possible Exparte violation.
16:04 – I was dispatched to 314 Oriole Drive in reference to property damage.
22:17 – I was dispatched to 405 W. 15th St. for a past-tense burglary.
Tuesday, May 10
10:00 – I received a call from a detective with the Vernon County Sheriff’s Department in reference to a stolen red Honda 4 wheeler believed to be at 400 N. Roane St. I located and seized the stolen 4 wheeler and had it towed to WCPD.
21:35 – I made a traffic stop near Madison and 13th streets in reference a license violation. One adult male was arrested for driving while suspended and an outstanding warrant.
18:22 – Officers were dispatched to 203 E. Daugherty St. in reference to someone flourishing a weapon. It was reported as harassment.
Wednesday, May 11
15:43 – Officers were dispatched to 607 S. Hall St. in reference to suspicious activity.
17:53 – An officer was dispatched to 1010 S. Pennsylvania St. for alleged child abuse.
12:40 – Officers were dispatched to Webb City Health and Rehabilitation in reference to a male subject that had passed away.
15:43 – Officers were dispatched to Crowder College, 600 S. Ellis St., in reference to a past-tense property damage.
14:59 – Officers were dispatched to Third and Madison streets in reference to a two-vehicle accident.
Thursday, May 12
08:00 – I was dispatched to a burglary in progress occurring in the 1600 block of South Oronogo Street.
14:57 – A theft at U.S. Cellular, 1715 S. Madison St., was reported.
10:57 – Officers were dispatched to 911 W. First St. in reference to a past-tense burglary. One adult male was taken into custody.
20:20 – Several individuals from 324 N. Tom St. came to WCPD to file a report on an individual causing issues. Two counts of peace disturbance will be sent to the municipal prosecutor’s office on a 52-year-old male.
18:08 – Officers responded to the area of 1802 Oronogo St. for an assault in progress. A 24-year-old male and a 19-year-old male were issued citations for fighting in public.
Friday, May 13
05:33 – Officers responded to the area of Kristin Lane and Mount Hope Road in reference to a possibly intoxicated driver. One subject was taken into custody.
07:58 – I was dispatched to 618 Easton Drive Apt. A for an illegal parked vehicle, which was towed.
12:00 – I responded to a report of a domestic between a male and female near Madison and 10th streets. The female left the scene in a blue minivan and I located the male walking south on Madison Street near 5th Street and arrested him on 14 Webb City warrants, one Carterville warrant, and one Jasper County warrant.
14:30 – I took a report of a male juvenile in possession of marijuana/THC in a vape in the 600 block of N. Madison St. A report was sent to the juvenile office and the juvenile released to parents at their request.
17:46 – Officers were dispatched to Fourth and Jefferson streets for a two-vehicle, non-injury, motor vehicle crash. As officers were being dispatched one party left the scene. It was discovered the accident actually occurred at MacArthur Drive and Main Street. Charges for leaving the scene, failure to show proof of insurance, failure to report an accident, and careless and imprudent driving will be sent to the municipal prosecutor on an 81-year-old male.
19:00 – Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of S. Oakland St. in reference to a runaway juvenile.
15:01 – I was dispatched to Walmart in reference to a subject trespassing. The 26-year-old male was issued a citation.
15:01 – I was dispatched to J and M Muffler, 401 S Hall St., for theft from a vehicle.
Saturday, May 14
02:25 I was dispatched to Casey’s, 337 S. Main St., in reference to suspicious vehicles. One adult male was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
11:02 – I was dispatched to a motor vehicle crash at MacArthur Drive and East Street.
19:56 – I made a traffic stop near Madison St. and Mount Hope Road in reference to a stolen license plate. The license plate was recovered.
21:07 – Officers were dispatched to 1321 W. Fifth St. in reference to a domestic assault. A report was made to the Missouri Child Abuse and Neglect hotline.
