Cardinals on the verge of a dozen wins
The Webb City volleyball team hopes to have a dozen wins when it enters the Carl Junction tournament Saturday.
The 11-2-1 Cardinals got their 11th win Tuesday in straight sets (25-19, 25-22, 25-12) at Carl Junction.
Prior to the upcoming tournament, they will be at Willard Thursday.
This week’s big win at Carl Junction featured 12 kills by Aubree Lassiter, 10 by Kate Brownfield and 7 by freshman Jaeli Rutledge.
Kyah Sanborn added to 31 sets to her career total of more than 1,000.
Dig leaders were Sanborn, 11; Lassiter, 10, and Sophia Crane, 10.
The Cardinals will be at Carthage Tuesday before returning to Cardinal Dome Thursday against Nixa.
The Webb City Sentinel isn’t a newspaper – but it used to be, serving Webb City, Missouri, in print from 1879-2020. This “newspaper” seeks to carry on that tradition as a nonprofit corporation.
