The first annual Fashion 4 Hope fashion show happened Saturday, Oct. 22, at Adaline Acres in rural Carl Junction. 

The fashion show was a benefit for the local Hope4You Breast Cancer Foundation and hosted by Downtown Webb City Merchants. The evening started with appetizers and drinks by Christine’s Vineyard. Guests could bid on silent auction items throughout the evening. Items ranged from diamond earrings to Bailey’s Family Dining gift cards and photography sessions.

Holly Ansley, downtown business owner and member of the Hope4You Board of Directors, spoke about the Hope4You foundation and how the money raised stays local. As the Red Onion dinner as served, the fashion show started and was emceed by Cavanaugh Studyvin, executive director of the Carl Junction Chamber of Commerce.

During the intermission of the fashion show, guests could shop at the local merchants’ booths. Booths included those set up by: Edith & Ethel’s, Jill’s Deals, Maggie Jane’s, Mary’s Market on Main, Paint Chips & Glitter, Society Marketplace, Spencer’s Sweet Call, Twisted Oak and Wig’N Out.

Dessert by Spencer’s Sweet Call was served prior to round two of the fashion show. Webb City Area Chamber of Commerce officials LeeAnn Crider and Tracy Crider checked in guests and ran the silent auction.
