Tuesday, Jan. 17
16:40 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at MacArthur Drive and Main Street in reference to an expired license plate. A 25-year-old female driver was cited for failure to register a motor vehicle, failure to show valid proof of insurance, operating a motor vehicle without a valid drivers license, and was arrested on a Joplin warrant.
Wednesday, Jan. 18
21:16 – An officer was dispatched to 216 N. Roane St. in reference to property damage.
Thursday, Jan. 19
14:23 – Officers responded to Madison and 10th streets for a two-vehicle, non-injury, motor vehicle accident.
14:50 – Officers responded to a two-vehicle, non-injury, motor vehicle crash at 13th and Madison streets.
16:55 – Officers were dispatched to the 4500 block of E. Zora St. for a medical call. One male was pronounced deceased by EMS.
Friday, Jan. 20
13:56 – I was dispatched to 920 W. Fourth St. for a theft. The caller reported someone stole an Interstate brand battery from an equipment trailer.
16:29 – I was dispatched to Madison and Daugherty streets for a suspicious person. I contacted a 25-year-old woman matching the description. She was arrested on an active Jasper County traffic warrant.
18:43 – An officer was dispatched to 809 W. Austin St. in reference to a peace disturbance.
21:39 – Officers were dispatched to 1365 Canyon Trails Drive, in reference to suspicious activity. A 43-year-old male was taken into custody for an active warrant out Newton County.
Saturday, Jan. 21
01:46 – I observed a vehicle commit multiple traffic violations. A 19-year-old male was arrested for minor in possession, open container and failure to ID.
13:50 – I stopped the driver of a motorcycle near Daugherty and Cedar streets for speeding. A 44-year-old man was arrested for driving while revoked.
21:55 – I was dispatched to Madison Street and Matthew Circle for a possible intoxicated driver. A 40-year-old male was arrested for DWI.
Sunday, Jan. 22
01:29 – I observed a white truck at East and Daugherty streets at a high rate of speed. A traffic stop was made and a 53-year-old male was arrested for DWI and driving while revoked.
11:44 – On 01-22-2023 at 1144 hours, I was dispatched to 1315 S. Hall for a theft. The victim reported someone stole his white Ford F250, a 32 foot gooseneck trailer, and a tracked Caterpillar skid steer from his residence sometime between 01-21-2023 and 01-22-2023. A report was taken.
14:32 – I was called to service at 702 W. Daugherty St. for a motor vehicle accident.
14:47 – I was dispatched to 12th and Lakeview Drive for a found firearm. The callers reported a pistol was located in the storm drain. A computer check revealed the pistol was stolen out of Joplin.
15:46 – I arrived at 1612-A S. Madison St. for a theft. The caller reported she left her wallet at the store, and when she returned, someone had taken her money.
18:26 – An officer was dispatched to 919 W. Second St., in reference to a past-tense theft from vehicle.
Monday, Jan. 23
17:56 – Officers were dispatched to Main and Daugherty streets for an motor vehicle crash involving injury. A 21-year-old male was arrested for driving while revoked.
Tuesday, Jan. 24
11:28 – Officers towed an abandoned vehicle from 23 S. Oronogo St. that was illegally parked on the public street.
16:36 – Officers were dispatched to a shoplifting at Walmart. One male and one female were issued summons.
17:08 – An officer was dispatched to 117 S. Oronogo St. in reference to an animal complaint. A citation will be issued for animal at large.
19:41 – Officers were dispatched to WCPD reference harrasment.
20:30 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart for a theft in progress. A 33-year-old male was arrested for burglary second pending state charges. Charges will be sent to the Jasper County Prosecutors Office.
20:48 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart reference a past-tense theft.
Wednesday, Jan. 25
10:25 – I was dispatched to a past-tense burglary at 111 N. Madison St.
17:33 – I was called to service for a theft of property at Walmart.
Thursday, Jan. 26
08:38 – I responded to the 600 block of N. Madison St. in reference to threats. The suspect was located and transported to the Jasper County Juvenile Office pending charges for terroristic threats. Another suspect was identified in Carthage and was contacted by the Carthage Police Department.
10:00 – I received a call for service at 33 S. Main St. for a past-tense burglary. The scene was processed, evidence was gathered, search for the suspect has begun.
14:28 – I recieved a call for service for a runaway juvenile in the 1800 block of W. Aylor St.
14:54 – I was dispatched to 534 S. Hall St. in reference to a theft. The caller reported an acquaintance stole his roommate’s 2017 Kia Optima.
Friday, Jan. 27
07:52 – Officers were dispatched to 502-B S. Centennial St. for a theft from motor vehicle.
10:07 – I was dispatched to 102 N. Roane St. for a suspicious person. A male was later taken into custody for an outstanding warrant.
15:00 – I was dispatched to Walmart for a past-tense shoplifting.
15:37 – I was dispatched to Walmart in reference to shoplifting. A 40-year-old male was arrested for trafficking, possesion of paraphernalia, shoplifting and resisting.
18:20 – Officers were dispatched to Atwoods, 220 S. East St., for a theft in progress. A 35-year-old male was arrested and state charges will be sent to the Jasper County Prosecutor for stealing and resisting arrest.
19:23 – Officers were dispatched to 715 S. Walker St. reference a past-tense mailbox theft.
Saturday, Jan. 29
15:14 – I was southbound on Madison and 12th streets when I observed a moped committing traffic violations. A 55-year-old male was arrested for DWI, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and driving while revoked.
17:31 – I was dispatched to the 400 block of S. Madison St. for an infant child not breathing. EMT’s and firefighters arrived to assist. The child was transported by ambulance to a hospital.
