Excitement is building for Webb City’s annual Route 66 Cruise-A-Palooza festival, July 14-15 in King Jack Park.
Partnering with the city this year is Hopefor22aday.org, a veterans support organization. 22 refers to the average number of veterans who commit suicide each day.
This will be the inaugural event for the organization, which plans to shuttle visitors from the Springfield airport and offered discounted rates for those booking early to stay at the Sleep Inn in Webb City.
The festival will begin at noon Friday, with Maddy Anderson and special guest Oh Sammy! featured on stage that night. There will also be a TikTok influencer meet and greet.
Saturday events include:
More than 50 food and craft vendors have signed up, and there will be live entertainment all day.
The fireworks show will begin after sunset.
For updates, visit the Webb City Community Event Calendar.
All proceeds will benefit local veterans and emergency responders.
The Webb City Sentinel isn’t a newspaper – but it used to be, serving Webb City, Missouri, in print from 1879-2020. This “newspaper” seeks to carry on that tradition as a nonprofit corporation.
