Webb City softball was the host of a jamboree for the first time on Friday. The Cardinals played four innings each against Monett and Seneca.
Afternoon temperatures close to or above 100° this week forced practices indoors. But a break in the heat wave is hoped for by Saturday when the Cardinals play at Quapaw, Okla. They’ll play Quapaw at 11:30 a.m. and then McDonald County at 1 p.m.
The first home game will be Monday against Nevada. Monett will be here Thursday, Aug. 31.
