Starbucks wants to be part of the community

The new Starbucks store in Webb City welcomed members of the Webb City Area Chamber of Commerce for a ribbon-cutting Tuesday.

“Yes, we’re corporate owned, but we try to support our community,” said manager Brandi Cerone.

More than serving coffee, she said she wants her baristas to be creating relationships with customers.

Cerone, with Starbucks for 10 years, noted proudly that there has been minimal turnover since the Webb City store opened. The store employs 18 and is hiring for the holidays.
