We don’t know if Paisely Tate Williams’ ugly sweater won the recent contest or not, but she won a lot of smiles – even from her “ugly” principal, Jarrett Cook, at Carterville Elementary School.

In the month of December Carterville students focused on what it means to be generous. They learned they can can show generosity by: not expecting anything in return, being a good person, giving out compliments, sharing their time and talents, offering to help, being encouraging, being kind and sharing personal items. The Webb City Sentinel isn’t a newspaper – but it used to be, serving Webb City, Missouri, in print from 1879-2020. This “newspaper” seeks to carry on that tradition as a nonprofit corporation.
