The current terms of Lisa Robinson and Jason Woodmansee on the Webb City R-7 School Board are ending, and they are both seeking reelection.
Erin Taylor is also on the ballot for one those two open seats. She was also a candidate last year.
JASPER COUNTY
The Jasper County Commission is asking voters to apply the same tax it collects for local purchases to online purchases. That would be a 3.75% use tax.
MAJOR ISSUES
Most of the attention on Tuesday night will be on the proposed extension of a 3/8th cent sales tax to fund capital improvements in Joplin for the next 12 years.
The Carl Junction R-1 School Board is placing on the ballot Proposition K.I.D.S., an $18.5 million bond issue – with no tax increase – for a variety of improvements.
The Webb City Sentinel isn’t a newspaper – but it used to be, serving Webb City, Missouri, in print from 1879-2020. This “newspaper” seeks to carry on that tradition as a nonprofit corporation.
