Information sessions about free job training classes begin Thursday, April 25, with the possibility of hiring for environmental cleanup projects in this area.
Those sessions will be held at 10 a.m., 12 p.m. and 6 p.m. Thursday at the Joplin Public Library. Future information sessions will be held May 2 and May 14.
The Superfund Job Training Initiative is in response to cleanup contractors’ need for certified laborers and operators.
Participants will be prepared with multiple certifications for careers in enviromental cleanup work. Job placement is not guaranteed.
To register, visit SuperJTI.eventbrite.com or call (417) 612-8273.

The Webb City Sentinel isn’t a newspaper – but it used to be, serving Webb City, Missouri, in print from 1879-2020. This “newspaper” seeks to carry on that tradition as a nonprofit corporation.
