Tuesday, April 16
15:13 – An officer was dispatched to 3202 E. Zora St. for reported theft of mail.
17:00 – An officer was dispatched to the area of Main and Arch streets for a report of cable theft.
Saturday, April 20
21:15 – Officers responded to a nuisance complaint at 1836 S. Oronogo St. Two males, ages 21 and 24, were issued citations for peace disturbance.
22:00 – Officers responded to the roundabout for a motor vehicle accident.
23:19 – An officer conducted a traffic stop near Range Line Road and Enterprise Avenue for expired tags and failing to maintain lane. The driver, a 72-year-old female, was placed into custody for DWI.
Sunday, April 21
09:50 – I was contacted at the police department for a past-tense fraudulent use of credit/debit device that occurred at Walmart.
14:38 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at the corner of Oronogo Street MacArthur Drive. Citations were issued and the license plate was confiscated due to it being defaced.
Monday, April 22
10:45 – Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of N. Madison St. to assist another department.
11:13 – I was dispatched to 1114 Elm Court for a report of past-tense property damage/vandalism.
14:00 – Officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of W. Seventh St. reference a runaway.
14:23 – An officer was dispatched to 2301 N. Range Line Road in reference to a past-tense theft, Information was gathered and a report was created.
16:42 – An officer was dispatched to 621 N. Madison St. in reference to a theft that occurred at McDonald’s, 410 S. Madison St. Information was gathered and one adult male was taken into custody for stealing.
17:03 – I was dispatched to 525 S. Hall St. for a past-tense stalking.
17:51 – Officers were dispatched to the 4400 block of Dirt Road in reference to a person found deceased in a home. No foul play was discovered, and the deceased was turned over to the county coroner for an autopsy.
Tuesday, April 23
06:25 – I was dispatched to 502 N. Oak St. for a report of theft. The victim reported his license plates were removed from his 2016 Dodge Ram truck during the overnight hours.
09:48 – An officer was dispatched to WCPD in reference to harassment that occurred at 423 S. Centennial St.
11:20 – I responded to Webb City High School in reference to possession of marijuana by a minor. Upon arrival, the item was seized and the Jasper County Juvenile Office was contacted.
13:20 – An officer was dispatched to 13th and Madison streets in reference to a non-injury crash.
18:47 – I was dispatched to Cricket Wireless, 1500 S. Madison St., regarding an individual who was in possession of stolen property from a Joplin store. A 32-year-old male was taken into custody for stealing.
Wednesday, April 24
00:14 – Officers responded to 1302 W. Austin St. in reference to domestic violence. After a second incident later that night involving the same persons, one 30-year-old male was taken into custody for domestic assault, DWI and driving while suspended.
08:45 – I took a report for a past-tense property damage, leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident. The incident occurred at 1118 N. Pennsylvania St.
10:47 – I conducted a traffic stop on Madison Street near Fourth Street. The driver was cited for driving while suspended and failure to provide insurance at the time of the traffic stop.
22:19 – I made a traffic stop at 14th Street and Gold Dust Drive in reference an equipment violation. One adult male was taken into custody for an outstanding warrant.
23:25 – I made a traffic stop near 1011 W. MacArthur Drive for a license violation. One adult male was taken into custody for outstanding warrants and operating a vehicle without a license.
Thursday, April 25
07:57 – Officers were dispatched to 712 N. Wilson St. in reference to property damage. One 28-year-old male was taken into custody for domestic assault.
16:12 – Officers were dispatched to 310 Forest St. in reference to a domestic in progress. One 23-year-old was taken into custody.
19:35 – I made contact with a subject at WCPD in reference to a bicycle that was stolen at the Webb City Public Library, 101 S. Liberty St.
Friday, April 26
06:42 – Officers were dispatched to 1125 W. Aylor St. for a disturbance. A 67-year-old man was arrested for assault on a law enforcement officer, unlawful use of a weapon and resisting arrest.
07:38 – I was dispatched to 330 S. Webb St. for a domestic in progress.
15:46 – An officer stopped a red truck near the intersection of Austin and Washington streets in reference to a traffic violation. The adult white female passenger was arrested for outstanding warrants and possession of an open container of alcohol. Additionally, an adult male subject who walked up and inserted himself in the traffic stop was also arrested for some outstanding warrants for his arrest.
20:47 – Officers responded to the 400 block of N. Ball St. for a report of a juvenile runaway.
21:58 – I was dispatched to a careless and imprudent driver at East and Daugherty streets. The vehicle was located at Second and Hall streets, with the driver passed out. The 36-year-old male was arrested for DWI, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Saturday, April 27
00:29 – I observed a blue SUV commit several traffic violations at East and Daugherty streets. A traffic stop was made and a 48-year-old female was arrested for DWI – persistent.
01:12 – I made contact with a subject at 2515 N. Range Line Road in reference to tampering. One adult male was taken into custody for tampering and property damage.
The Webb City Sentinel isn’t a newspaper – but it used to be, serving Webb City, Missouri, in print from 1879-2020. This “newspaper” seeks to carry on that tradition as a nonprofit corporation.
