12:53 – I was dispatched to Walmart for shoplifting.
Friday, April 26
14:28 – An officer conducted a traffic stop for speed at 308 S. Main St. A 23-year-old male was taken in on warrants and transported to WCPD.
19:04 – An officer was dispatched to MacArthur Drive and Main Street in reference to a possible road rage incident involving the flourishing of a firearm. The reporting party told dispatch they were coming to the police department so they could speak with an officer. The suspect’s identity is unknown.
23:23 – Officers were dispatched to Millennium Fitness, 1227 N. Range Line Road, in reference to a business alarm. A 38-year-old male and 31-year-old female were arrested for active warrants.
Saturday, April 27
11:37 – Officers were dispatched to 513 S. Elliott St. in reference to medical with law. One adult male was taken to Freeman Hospital for a 96-hour-commit.
Sunday, April 28
10:35 – I received a call for service at Sacred Heart Church, 909 N. Madison St., in reference to attempted theft from a motor vehicle that only resulted in damage to the vehicle.
11:20 – I was dispatched to 709 Jillian Lane for a disturbance. A subject was taken into custody.
15:09 – An officer was dispatched to 1702 Lakeview Drive in reference to a found item.
16:42 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a theft that had just occurred.
17:25 – Officers were dispatched to 1836 S. Oronogo St. #4A in reference to a disturbance.
22:51 – I was dispatched to the roundabout in reference to a check well being. One adult female was taken into custody for an outstanding warrant.
Monday, April 29
07:18 – An officer was dispatched to 1514 S. College St. for a medical unknown.
07:39 – An officer was dispatched to 222 S. Webb St. in reference to tampering with a motor vehicle.
07:47 – Officers were dispatched to 840 Wilson St. for property damage. A multitude of property damage was found and a suspect was apprehended at 114 S. Roane St.
08:48 – Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of N. Madison St., reference an intoxicated minor. A report was forwarded to the Jasper County Juvenile Office.
13:12 – Officers were dispatched to Country Boulevard and Center Lane in the Country Acres mobile home park in reference to a possible stolen vehicle.
16:15 – An officer was dispatched to WCPD in reference to the theft of a license plate from 1925 Bluejay Drive.
18:21 – Officers responded to 417 N. Tom St. for a driving complaint. One 27-year-old male was cited and released for possession of drug paraphernalia.
19:37 – Officers conducted a traffic stop on a Toyota Corolla at Cottonwood Street and Hall Street for speeding. One 21-year-old female was taken into custody for DWI-drugs and driving while suspended.
20:51 – I was notified by another officer that he located two earrings at the Webb City jail.
Tuesday, April 30
02:30 – An officer responded to White Oak Gas Station (411 S Madison) for a suspicious vehicle that had been sitting at a gas pump for 30 minutes. A 26-year-old male was arrested for DWI.
11:42 – Officers responded to a medical call in the 700 block of Juanita St. A 35-year-old male was found deceased.
18:10 – Officers responded to the roundabout in reference to a non-injury vehicle crash.
19:00 – Officers were dispatched to WCPD in reference to a child abuse case. A report submitted to detectives for further investigation.
Wednesday, May 1
00:53 – I was dispatched to 501 S. Oakland St. for a domestic in progress. A 20-year-old male was arrested for assault, burglary and sexual misconduct.
15:07 – I was dispatched to WCPD for fraudulent use of a credit device at 222 S. Webb St.
15:35 – I was dispatched to WCPD for harassment which occurred at 901 N. Hall St.
17:05 – I took a report for the theft and fraudulent use of a credit/debit device that had been stolen from 1400-214 W. Austin St.
17:29 – Officers were dispatched to 1814 Bluebird Drive for a stolen vehicle. While on the way to the residence, officers located the stolen vehicle. A pursuit led officers to Duenweg, where the driver stopped and a 39-year-old man was arrested on numerous charges including stealing.
Thursday, May 2
08:56 – I was dispatched to 1201 S. Madison St. for a careless-and-imprudent driver complaint.The subject was taken into custody for DWI.
10:39 – I received a call for service at Dollar Tree, 610 S. Madison St., in reference to theft of merchandise. Dispatch advised a male and female entered the store, selected then exited the store with merchandise without paying for it, and left the area in a silver minivan.
13:02 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a theft that had just occurred. A 32-year-old male was arrested for shoplifting.
15:06 – I was dispatched to 104 N. Madison St. for a motor vehicle accident.
15:45 – I received a call for service in the 400 block of N. Ball St. in reference to a runaway juvenile.
17:54 – Officers were dispatched to AT&T, 1119 S. Madison St., in reference to a subject trespassing in the store. Upon arrival, the subject refused to leave the store and was therefore arrested for trespassing.
Friday, May 3
00:30 – I arrived at the station for a report of theft at 324 N. Tom St. The victim stated that his credit card was stolen sometime within the last month.
10:05 – Officers wer dispatched to Webb City High School 600 block of N. Madison St., reference a large assault in progress. A juvenile subject was taken into custody.
10:20 – An officer was dispatched to the intersection of Madison and Fourth streets for a report of a downed power pole and wire.
10:43 – Officers were dispatched to Oceans Adventures, 201 N. East St., in reference to a domestic in progress. One 53-year-old male was taken into custody.
12:25 – An officer was dispatched to 1021 W. Seventh St. in reference to property damage.
16:19 – I was contacted at the police department for a past-tense theft that occurred in Joplin. The stolen item was possible at 1023 W. Daugherty St.
18:30 – Officers were dispatched to 524 W. Second St. in reference harassment. One female was issued a summons.
Saturday, May 4
00:16 – A vehicle commited a traffic violation at MacArthur Drive and Ellis Street. An 18-year-old male was arrested for DWI-drug and an expired drivers license.
00:45 – Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop at Casey’s, 337 S. Main St., when a pursuit was initiated.
10:11 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a theft in progress. One 36-year-old female was taken into custody.
11:02 – An officer was dispatched to 1500 S. Madison St. for a leaving-the-scene motor vehicle crash.
11:27 – I was dispatched to Walmart for a subject trespassing in the store. The female subject was contacted and taken into custody for trespassing and an outstanding warrant.
12:19 – Officers were dispatched to Devon and Daugherty streets in reference to a two-vehicle, injury, vehicle crash.
16:19 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a suspicious person in the parking lot who was yelling at customers and inhaling canned air. One 44-year-old female was taken into custody.
The Webb City Sentinel isn’t a newspaper – but it used to be, serving Webb City, Missouri, in print from 1879-2020. This “newspaper” seeks to carry on that tradition as a nonprofit corporation.
