Feb. 28 – March 6

Tuesday, Feb. 23

17:44 – I observed a minivan with no front license plate at Main and First streets. I got behind the van, activating my emergency lights and initiated a traffic stop. A 34-year-old male was arrested for driving while suspended and warrants.

Friday, Feb. 26

17:27 – I was dispatched to the Casey’s at 1525 S. Madison St. for a counterfeit bill and gas drive-off.

Sunday, Feb. 28

11:17 – I was contacted at WCPD in reference to property damage at 223 W. First St.

14:43 – I was contacted at WCPD in reference to a theft from motor vehicle at 1104 W. Broadway. The victim reported both license plates were stolen from his vehicle during the overnight hours.

12:49 – I was dispatched to 1101 W. Aylor St. in reference to the theft of a firearm from a motor vehicle. The firearm was entered into the state computer as stolen.

16:37 – An officer was dispatched to 1612-D S. Madison St. for a trespass in progress. One adult male was charged.

16:28 – I was dispatched to Walmart for a shoplifting in progress.

17:47 – I was dispatched to the intersection of Cook and Devon streets for a female who appeared to be passed out in a silver vehicle. A 34-year-old was arrested for delivery of a controlled substance, DWI, driving while revoked and possession of drug paraphernalia. And a 22-year-old female was arrested on a felony warrant.

Monday, March 1

08:37 – I received a call for service at 1231 Elm Court in reference to a stolen motor vehicle.

09:49 – I was dispatched to Burger King in reference to a man rolling a small girls bicycle behind the business, which seemed suspicious. The male was gone on arrival. The bicycle was picked up and taken to the WCPD impound lot.

00:21 – I made a traffic stop near Zora and Wellington streets in reference a license violation. The adult male driver was arrested for driving while revoked and outstanding warrants. One adult female passenger was arrested for outstanding warrants.

06:16 – I located a stolen vehicle at 416 S. Elliott St. The vehicle was recovered and an investigation was started.

00:13 – A vehicle was observed being driven by someone known to be drunk. A 34-year-old female was arrested for DWI.

Tuesday, March 2

07:52 – I received a call for service at 711 W. Broadway in reference to a theft of tools.

08:59 – I received a call for service at 1711-59 Redwood Drive in reference a disturbance in progress. Dispatch advised there was a female screaming for help. A white male was subsequently arrested for domestic assault.

14:34 – I received a call for service at 924 N. East St. in reference to a disturbance in progress. A white male was taken into custody for a mental evaluation.

14:25 – I was dispatched to 807 W. First St. in reference to threats. Upon arrival, the building administration advised they received a report of indirect threats. The subject was contacted and a report was initiated.

16:46 – Officers were dispatched to Atwoods for a report of shoplifting. Officers located the suspect vehicle at 224 S. Ball St. Two adult males were arrested for trafficking narcotics first degree, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful possession of a weapon, felony stealing and armed criminal action. One of them was also cited with shoplifting.

20:21 – I was dispatched to the area of Eighth and Madison streets for a two-vehicle, non-injury, traffic crash. One vehicle was traveling south on Madison Street preparing for a westbound turn when it was struck from behind by the second vehicle.

10:15 – I took an information report reference a possible felon in possession of firearms located at an address outside of the city. A report was forwarded to the ATF after firearms were purchased at Atwoods.

16:00 – I was dispatched to Hall and Zora streets for a vehicle being driven strangely with the occupants passed out twice at stop lights. The vehicle and occupants were later contacted at Ware Street Railroad Way. A female was cited for possession of controlled substance.

19:10 – I was dispatched to 511 E. Daugherty St. for a past-tense property damage.

Wednesday, March 3

16:14 – I was contacted at WCPD for a past-tense burglary at 1401 Matthew Circle.

17:58 – I was dispatched to Madison and Sixth streets for a motor vehicle accident.

Thursday, March 4

07:16 – An officer was dispatched to Hatten Park in reference to property damage.

09:50 – Officers were dispatched to Missouri Probation and Parole to arrest 39-year-old male on Webb City and Seneca warrants as well as for unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

14:45 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at Madison and Crow streets for a license plate violation. The 36-year-old male driver was arrested for failure to register a motor vehicle, possession of marijuana, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, transporting an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, driving while revoked, and a Jasper County warrant.

14:47 – I was dispatched to the 300 block of S. Main St. for an unattended death. A 65-year-old woman was found deceased in her residence.

20:50 – I was dispatched to 1708 S. Madison St. for a disturbance. A 35-year-old woman reported she was assaulted and pushed from her boyfriend’s truck during the argument. A report of domestic assault was taken.

21:14 – I was dispatched to 506 N. Liberty St. for a disturbance. Upon arrival, the driver of a white Chevrolet truck left the residence and fled from police until the driver abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot.

22:42 – Officers were dispatched to Oronogo and 10th streets for a report of a suspicious person. I arrived and contacted a 33-year-old man who fled on foot. He was captured and charged with resisting arrest.

Friday, March 5
23:08 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at Macarthur Drive and Oakland Street involving possession of controlled substance.

Saturday, March 6

13:29 – Officers were dispatched to 821 S. Walker St. in reference to a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was entered as stolen and a report was made.
