It was just weeks ago that we were astonished to see the long-closed Burger King at Madison and 14th streets being bulldozed. On Monday, a ribbon cutting ceremony was held on the same site for 7 Brew Drive Thru Coffee.
“We’re officially open in Webb City,” said Chris Sebald, chief development officer of the 7 Brew Crew franchisee based in Springdale, Ark.
Sebald explained that the 7 Brew “stands” seem to pop up overnight because they are built off site and delivered in two sections.
The Webb City stand is the 31st for the franchise. Corgan Oler is transferring from the 7 Brew in Joplin, where she worked four years, to manage 50 employees at the Webb City stand.
As she cut the ribbon, Oler said, “We’re much more than a coffee shop.”
The first 7 Brew stand opened in 2017 in Rogers, Ark., serving 7 original coffees. Now the company says its mission is to cultivate “kindness and joy with every drink – through our service, speed, quality, energy and atmosphere.”
Webb City coffee lovers experienced joy in Webb City last weekend as 4,000 free drinks were handed out by the 7 Brew Crew.
Also on Monday, 7 Brew donated $1,500 to the Joplin Humane Society.
The Webb City Sentinel isn’t a newspaper – but it used to be, serving Webb City, Missouri, in print from 1879-2020. This “newspaper” seeks to carry on that tradition as a nonprofit corporation.
