It's Paint the Town Red Week

It’s beginning to look a lot like Paint the Town Red week as Webb City decorations are on display at businesses and residences.

Paint the Town Red Week leads up to the Webb City High School Homecoming Game on Friday, Sept. 27, against Neosho.

Two nights before then, at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, downtown will be jam-packed for the annual Paint the Town Red Parade, sponsored by the Webb City Area Chamber of Commerce.

70s Disco is the Student Council theme for homecoming. You can expect to see that reflected in the window decorations and on parade floats.

The parade will march north on Main Street to Aylor Street, where entries will disperse into the open grounds east of Webb City Middle School for the bonfire event.

There will be food trucks, bounce houses, axe throwing and a DJ. Webb City firefighters will be on hand to make sure the bonfire doesn’t get out of hand.

Stuco will present the homecoming court, and the chamber will hand out awards for the best parade entries and decorated windows.

The 70s Disco theme is on display on the Cool School Shoppe window at 100 S. Main St.
