Webb City Public Works and Blevins Asphalt are wrapping up the city’s summer paving.
Eddie Kreighbaum, director of public works, says paving a loop north of Fountain Road, consisting of Lakeview Drive, Anderson Place, and Mando Lane, on Thursday will complete the list approved by the Webb City Council in May.
That list of 22 streets and three parking lots is estimated by Blevins to cost $1,179,437.
Paving on Fourth Street Wednesday morning was temporarily delayed when the weight of an asphalt truck broke a water line feeding a fire plug. Fortunately, a valve allowed the broken pipe to be isolated without disrupting the flow to the neighborhood. It took less than an hour to splice and recover the pipe.
