Double C Meat Processing succeeds two previous family oprations

The ribbon is cut at Double C Meat Processing, 1807 Stadium Drive.

A ribbon-cutting was held at Double C Meat Processing Thursday by the Webb City Area Chamber of Commerce.

Owned by Heath and Paula Covey, Double C has been in operation for two years carrying on after two previous family operations, Taylor’s and then S&J.

Double C even has carry-over employees, Sean Taylor and Logan Taylor, from Taylor’s, and Hayden Green, from S&J.

Heath Covey said the staff are there to help customers who may questions about buying beef. He cited what might be a typical conversation: “‘I never bought beef before; can you help me through it?’ ‘Sure, that’s what we’re here for.’”

In addition to large portions, Double C has freezers stocked with custom meats, hamburger, sausages and bacon.

The cut and full chickens in stock are hand-raised by the Tidball family, of Jasper.

Double C is located at 1807 Stadium Drive.

The chicken at Double C is provided by the Tidball family children, Jackson, Jase and Joslyn, and their parents, Tyler and Courtney.
