Cardinals start volleyball season with win over Clever

Webb City volleyball started the season Tuesday in the Cardinal Dome with a straight-set win over Clever, 25-16, 25-15 and 25-16.

Kaelyn Maxwell led in kills with 10, followed by Addy Maxwell, 8; Jaylee VanBecelaere, 7; Marlee Harper and Savannah Crane, 5 each; and Jocelyn Maxwell, 4.

Crane notched 32 sets.

Avery Gardner had 13 digs; VanBecelaere, 12; Crane, 11, and Allie Collard, 10.

The Cardinals travel to Nixa Thursday and will be at Bentonville West Monday. They’ll be back home Tuesday against Waynesville.
