Webb City volleyball is on an eight-game winning streak – without one lost set.
The streak began with the team’s 3-0 win over Republic at home on Thursday.
On Saturday, the 15-6 Cardinals won the Carl Junction Classic for the second year in a row, with six 2-0 wins.
In pool play, they defeated Aurora, Girard and Nevada. Advancing to bracket play, they defeated Carl Junction 25-15, 25-16.
In the semifinal, Belton took the Cardinals to 29-27 in the first set and also lost the second set 25-23. Webb City won the final match against Nevada 25-23, 25-23.
The Cardinals traveled to Carthage Tuesday, where they defeated the Tigers 3-0 (25-12, 25-23, 25-18.
Addy Maxwell led with 8 kills, while Jaylee VanBecelaere, Jocelyn Maxwell and Kaelyn Maxwell all added 5 kills, and Marlee Harper added 4. Avery Gardner had 26 digs, and Allie Collard had 15 digs. Savannah Crane had 24 sets.
The Cardinals will be in the Dome Thursday, Oct. 2, against Willard, and will then host Carl Junction and Colgan Saturday in the Webb City Triangular.
