Webb City cops provide shopping spree for 75 kids

The Webb City Police Department held it’s annual Shop With a Cop event early Saturday morning at Walmart.

Approximately 75 children got $100 to fill their carts with anything they wanted for themselves or to give. They also visited with Santa and received a photo with him to remember the day. In addition, their families received food baskets.

In a letter asking for officers of other agencies to assist with the program, Police Chief Don Melton listed requirements including a heart filled with the spirit of Christmas and a love of little kids, especially those ‘special’ kids that would not have any Christmas without our help.”
