This holiday season, Spencers’ Sweet Call at the Minerva is featured in the Route 66 and Missouri Advent Calendars created by Delicious Food Delivered.
Perfect for holiday gift giving – the box features 24 hand-picked, locally sourced foods from small businesses. For the second year in a row, Delicious Food Delivered invited Spencers’ Sweet Call to supply one item for the gift boxes.
In consultation with Delicious Food Delivered, Spencers’ Sweet Call chose cherry ribbon candy for 2025, continuing the long tradition of hard candy produced in the Minerva building.
The 2,500 pieces they made for this year’s advent calendars help draw attention to Webb City.
The box costs $159 and is available for purchase online at Delicious Food Delivered.
Spencers’ Sweet Call began in 2018 when the Spencers, Charles and Malinda, purchased the historic Minerva candy store, at 12 S. Main St., its fixtures and equipment.
The Minerva recipes and equipment continue to be used, just as they have been, for over 100 years.
In addition to hard candy, they specialize in artisan chocolates, caramels and toffee. The store is also a source for unique craft soda, hard-to-find commercially produced candy and homemade baked items.
