Wednesday, Dec. 10

21:18 – Officers were informed by an employee at Casey’s, 337 S. Main St., that a male just walked out of the store and stole a can of alcohol. As a result, one male was taken into custody for shoplifting.

Saturday, Dec. 13

16:12 – Officers were dispatched to 824 N. East St. in reference to gun shots fired. The investigation continues.

Sunday, Dec. 14

19:59 – Officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Main and MacArthur Drive for speeding. One 25-year-old female was taken into custody for DWI.

Monday, Dec. 15

10:29 – I stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The driver was subsequently arrested.

16:23 – I stopped a vehicle at 10th and Oronogo streets for a traffic violation. The driver was arrested for warrants.

17:25 – Officers were dispatched to 808 Megan Lane in reference to domestic assault.

17:29 – I was dispatched to 1227 S. Oronogo St. for a report of a disturbance.

Tuesday, Dec. 16

16:27 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at Broadway and Washington Street for a registration violation. The 72-year-old male driver was arrested for Carl Junction warrants.

17:48 – An officer located a motor vehicle crash that had just occurred at Madison and Fourth streets.

Wednesday, Dec. 17

An officer saw smoke coming from a field in the 1800 block of S. Madison St. One male was taken into custody for warrants, giving false info, and negligent burning.

22:52 – A traffic stop was initiated at MacArthur Drive and Jefferson Street for expired tags. A 61-year-old male was arrested for driving while suspended.

Thursday, Dec. 18

08:12 – Officers were dispatched to the 800 block of W. First St. reference a juvenile in possession of THC and tobacco.

08:17 – An officer was dispatched to 209 N. Roane St. in reference to harassment that began on Dec. 17. One 31-year-old male was issued a citation for peace disturbance.

08:43 – Officers, were dispatched to 1382 Canyon Trails Dr. Apt. D in reference to a theft that had taken place earlier in the night.

12:10 – Officers were dispatched to 1607 S. Ellis St. in reference to an animal complaint.

15:40 – I received a phone call from an FBI Agent from the Joplin office concerning bomb threats made to the Webb City School District. The threat was made through several Google posts by a male Juvenile. I made contact with the young suspect and his parents. This was also reported to the Jasper County Juvenile Office.

17:45 – Officers were dispatched to East and Galena streets in reference to a motor vehicle crash where the driver took off walking and the passenger left in the vehicle. Both the driver and vehicle were located. The first driver, a 30-year-old female, was arrested for driving while intoxicated, no valid drivers license, leaving the scene of a crash, and improper lane use. The second driver, a 34-year-old male driver, was arrested for driving while suspended.

22:04 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at Main and Tracy streets for driving while revoked. The 47-year-old male was arrested for driving while revoked.

Friday, Dec. 19

07:30 – I stopped a vehicle at Main and Aylor streets for a traffic violation. The driver was arrested for a Joplin City warrant.

08:17 – I was dispatched to 1988 S. Hall St. for a found item. The item was seized.

13:20 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at Broadway and Hall Street in reference to an expired license plate. The 28-year-old female driver was cited for the expired license plate and arrested for no valid driver’s license.
