The impressive Christmas lights in King Jack Park will stay on through New Year's Day.

Enjoy the lights until after New Year's Day

The Polar Bear Express on Streetcar No. 60 has successfully completed its runs around King Jack Park.

Bryan Waggoner, parks and recreation director, says there were 4,000 to 5,000 riders over 11 nights. As usual, the tickets were sold out quickly. They’ll go on sale again online at 9 a.m. on the first Saturday in November 2026.

Waggoner says he heard positive reviews of the ride, which includes a stop where riders watch a light show synchronized to music.

The upcoming 100th anniversary of Route 66 was this year’s theme, along with a tribute to Webb City’s 150th birthday since its incorporation on Dec. 8, 1876.

Proceeds from ticket sales are primarily used to create more lighting for the next year.

Everyone can continue to see the lights by car or on foot through Jan. 1.
