Webb City High School’s three show choirs performed before a packed house Thursday at Barton Performing Arts Center as a rehearsal for the competition season that’s beginning.
Here are the announcements to be read before each choir’s performances.
Our next choir is Bella Voce from Webb City, MO! They begin their show as magician’s assistants: pretty to look at, but nothing more than a visual flourish…a prop. Soon their eyes are opened and they see that the real trick has been taking a backseat to a less-than-skilled illusionist. Using their own sleight of hand, they leave his shadow and set a course to put on their own magic show, despite fear and insecurity.
Featuring solos by Maddie McDonald, Isabella Wood, Addison Buster and Caitlin Norton, please join Bella Voce as they use their bag of tricks to show that TRUE magic comes from within.
Our next group is DoMENance from Webb City, MO! This group of 17 tenor/basses can’t wait to burn rubber! Don’t blow a gasket, but meet them on the track as they hit the gas for this white-knuckle ride!
With solos by Derak Noller, Gavin Barnes, Riley Hubbard, Maddox Wood, and Dallas Clarkson-Cortez, please join DoMENance in this race of a lifetime, as they discover that it’s the pit stops along the way that make that checkered flag all the more worthwhile.
