Cardinals maintain big lead against Central for 12th win

Webb City girls won their 12th game Wednesday in the Cardinal Dome as they defeated Central 61-29.

Addie Burns and Adalyn Maxwell shared top-scoring honors with 13 apiece. Brecklynn Sargent scored 12, and Abby Sargent added 11. Burns also pulled down 11 rebounds.

Webb City took a 46-13 lead at the half. Fifteen Webb City players saw playing time as coach Grant Berendt frequently called in substitutes in the second half.

The 12-4 Cardinals will play two nights in a row as they travel to Glendale Thursday.

They will return to the Cardinal Dome Tuesday, along with the boys, to entertain 15-0 Kickapoo.

Last Thursday, they achieved a 60-24 home win against Forsyth.
