A Webb City woman has been charged with first degree assault for shooting another woman on Monday night in the 200 block of North Madison Street.
Police Chief Don Melton reports that officers were dispatched when a 9-1-1 call was received at 11:46 p.m.
He said the caller reported she had been shot with a firearm. Upon arrival, officers immediately rendered first aid while waiting for medical personnel to arrive.
The victim, Cathy Beck, was transported to a local hospital and was reported to be in stable condition.
The suspect is Tammy Lynch, 56, of Webb City. She was arrested and being held in the Jasper County Jail with no bond.
The Jasper County Prosecutor’s Office charged her with first-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon and armed criminal action.
Friday, April 10
15:34 – Officers were dispatched to MacArthur Drive and Oronogo Street for a motor vehicle crash.
16:10 – I was dispatched to the 700 block of S. Walker St. for property damage. The resident reported two neighboring juveniles were suspected of shooting his vehicle window with a pellet gun.
Saturday, April 11
22:01 – A traffic stop was initiated at the intersection of Main Street and MacArthur Drive. A 49-year-old female was taken into custody for driving with a revoked license.
00:27 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at Oronogo and 10th streets for a speeding violation. The 32-year-old female driver was arrested for driving while revoked.
01:18 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at the roundabout for lane violations. The 22-year-old female driver was arrested for DWI-alcohol.
15:20 – Officers were dispatched to 1224 S. Madison St. for a hit-and-run.
16:09 – Officers were dispatched to 1000 Dawson Drive for a non-injury crash. A 29-year-old female was taken into custody for outstanding warrants.
18:53 – Officers were dispatched to 1723 Redwood Drive for a past-tense assault.
23:41 – An officer on routine patrol observed a vehicle with a tag light out and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle at Second and Oronogo streets. A 46-year-old male was taken into custody for driving while revoked.
Monday, April 13
00:08 – An officer was dispatched to an assault at 821 Prospect St.
00:32 – Officers responded to a reported abandoned vehicle that had struck and destroyed an electrict line pole at the intersection of MacArthur and Powell drives.
09:09 – I was dispatched to WCPD to take a report of a theft that occured at 1013 Crow St.
10:09 – Officers responded to the 1200 block of W. First St. in reference to a theft.
15:15 – Officers responded to the 400 block of Fourth St. in reference to a domestic assault. A juvenile officer released the child to the parents.
15:27 – I was dispatched to Fourth and Madison streets for a two-vehicle, non-injury accident.
19:34 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at Oronogo and Crow streets. The 55-year-old female was arrested for driving while revoked.
22:04 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at Madison and Ninth streets for equipment violation. A set of license plates was seized.
23:23 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at Madison and Eighth streets in reference to a registration violation. The 20-year-old was arrested for being a minor visibly intoxicated and driving while intoxicated.
Tuesday, April 14
08:00 – Officers responded to the intersection of Madison Street and Broadway in reference to a motor vehicle collision. A female, age 40, was taken into custody for operating a motor vehicle on a highway without a valid drivers license.
12:07 – I observed two vehicles pulled over at the roundabout. They reported they were just in a non-injury crash.
12:09 – An officer was contacted at the police department in reference to retrieving property. The suspect was arrested for an outstanding Carterville warrant.
15:26 – I was dispatched to WCPD for a theft that occurred at 1802 S. Oronogo St. Apt.7F.
17:30 – I was dispatched to 517 S. Elliott St., for an animal complaint. The owner of the animal was cited.
19:00 – Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Broadway and Madison Street for a non-injury crash.
20:25 – Officers were dispatched to WCPD for the report of an assault that occurred at King Jack Park.
21:27 – An officer was dispatched to 216 N. Jefferson St. in reference to a motor vehicle accident.
22:30 – An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at Fourth and Webb streets. Taken into custody were a 36-year-old female for warrants, and a 33-year-old male for driving while revoked.
Wednesday, April 15
12:45 – I arrived in the 600 block of W. Aylor St. reference a juvenile assault and threats. One male juvenile was charged with threats to other juveniles and an adult.
13:42 – I received a call for service at the WCPD in reference to a theft of property at 207 S. Liberty St. The victim reported her bicycle was stolen from the carport of the residence.
15:01 – I was dispatched to 822 W. Daugherty St. for a violation of a protective order.
15:50 – I was dispatched to the 800 block of W. First St. for a report of two runaways. Parents reported two juveniles left school at about 14:50 hours and did not return to their respective homes. The juveniles were later located at King Jack Park and returned to their parents.
18:10 – Officers were dispatched to Madison Street and MacArthur Drive for an injury crash.
Thursday, April 16
08:01 – I stopped a vehicle at Daugherty and Vine streets for a traffic violation. The driver was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with no license.
09:26 – Officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Lexington Drive for a runaway juvenile.
10:41 – A victim came to WCPD to make an Information report about a subject forcing his way into an apartment No. 215 at the complex at 1603 S. Ellis St. Some property damage occurred.
15:17 – I received call for service at 804 N. Madison St. in reference to a male trespassing upon the victim’s property.
19:54 – Officers responded to Walmart for a report of trespassing in progress. One male was taken into custody for trespassing.
Friday, April 17
An officer was dispatched to Powell and MacArthur drives in reference to a two-vehicle, non-injury crash.
19:22 – An officer was dispatched to WCPD in reference to past-tense property damage that occurred at Walmart.
23:55 – Officers were dispatched to a single-vehicle, non-injury, rollover crash at the roundabout. The 25-year-old male driver was arrested for possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle and driving while intoxicated.
Saturday, April 18
15:08 – Officers were dispatched to Walmart for a past-tense theft.
18:16 – Officers were dispatched to the 900 block W. Third St. in reference to a medical call. A 53-year-old male was taken to the hospital on a 96-hour commit.
21:52 – Officers were dispatched to North East Street and Jillian Lane for a careless and imprudent driver. A 34-year-old male was taken into custody for DWI-alcohol.
22:33 – An officer conducted a traffic stop at Ware Street and Railroad Way for a stop-sign violation. The 20-year-old female driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
