The host boys and girls teams won the Webb City Invitational track meet Friday at Cardinal Stadium.
The girls squad scored 225 points, as second-place Ozark came in with 123 points.
While the boys earned 160 points compared to second-place Willard’s 130 points.
The eight-team contest was a tune-up for the Central Ozark Conference meet that was held Wednesday at Glendale.
Coach Dustin Miller noted a couple of “big-time meet records” on Friday as he looked forward to the end of the season. “There’s more in the tank! That’s what’s exciting.”
First-place winners for the girls were Brooke Hedger, 1600; Tatym Buster, 3200; the 4×800 team of Alexis Shuster, Olivia Klotz, Buster and Hedger; Jocelyn Maxwell, shot put; Eva Davied, discus; Chasney Brown, high jump, and Jaylee VanBecelaere, triple jump.
The boys were led by Louden Bolinger’s dual win in shot put and discus. Guner Eads was first in javelin, and Mason Bradley won the pole vault event.
Two relay teams took first place:
– 4×400, Leryck Hurst, Kaden Moreland, Tyler Christensen Jr., and Brayten Shofler.
– 4×800, James Dalyrymple, James Baldassaro, Andrew Dawson and Noah Lankard.
