Cardinals expected to be seeded first in districts
The 25-4 Webb City Cardinals are expected to be seeded first in the Class 5 District 6 tournament, but that won’t be a sure thing until Thursday morning. Click here for the bracket when it’s posted.
The tournament will be held next week at Willard.
Meanwhile, the Cardinals have one more regular-season game, which will be at home Thursday against Seneca.
On Tuesday, the Cardinals went to Joplin for a 1-0 win that gave them a perfect 6-0 record in the Central Ozark Conference West Division.
Mason Young worked out of a bases-loaded jam in the first inning and then held the Eagles in check, scattering five hits in the complete game shutout.

Last Thursday, the Cardinals got a 10-0 home win over Neosho. Then they went to Monett Monday for a 13-3 win. Their winning streak now stands at 13.
