OBITUARY

Ron Roeber

Oct. 8, 1945 – Feb. 13, 2026

Uncle Ronnie, born on Oct. 8, 1945, to Amos and Ola Roeber, passed away on Feb. 13, 2026 at Webb City Health and Rehabilitation after a long illness.

Ron was the youngest of eight children. At the time of his birth, his two oldest brothers had served in the Army in World War II, one in the European Theater and the other in the Pacific.

He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Leon “Ski” Simon, Amos Lloyd Roeber, Eldon Roeber, Floyd Roeber, Betty Roeber-Howard, Wanda Roeber-Poffenbarger, and Mary Roeber-Wilson.

Ron lived his entire life in the Joplin/Webb City area, graduating from Webb City High School in 1963. He then continued his education at Pittsburg State University, where he majored in accounting. His brothers and sisters would give him complicated math problems when he was a toddler, which he would quickly solve in his head.

He worked for several businesses in the area as an accountant, including his time with LaBarge. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching his nephew, Don Howard, race stock cars.

He also loved 50’s and 60’s rock & roll. He loved baseball and would keep notebooks filled with meticulous statistics that rivaled anything found in sports magazines.

Due to health reasons, Ron lost his driver’s license and could be seen walking around town or riding the Sunshine Lamp Trolley. Later, his brother Floyd would drive him until he himself could no longer drive. At that time, his nephew, Randy Wilson happily took on the task of transporting Uncle Ronnie for supplies, appointments and emergencies.

Ron is survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and will be missed by all who knew him.
