Whether to hire a contractor to finish tree hauling may be on Council's agenda

City Administrator Carl Francis estimates that public works has made it through half the city picking up the tree debris left over from the June 13 storm.
It’s turned out to be a big commitment. In fact, it took most of the day Tuesday just to haul off the remains of three large trees that were in a long swath on West Seventh Street. Even then, it will take larger equipment to come back to pick up a large trunk and stump.
During the next City Council meeting, at 5:30 p.m. Monday, the possibility of hiring a contractor to finish the job may be discussed.
