The 10-4-1 softball Cardinals are at home Thursday against the 5-5 Nixa Eagles.
Last Thursday, the Cardinals ended their home game against Waynesville in the fifth inning with a 10-0 win. Brecklynn Sargent’s two home runs were the highlights. Addy Burns only allowed 1 hit.
It was a different story at Kickapoo Tuesday, as the Chiefs led 6-1 before the Cardinals scored 3 in the sixth and 1 in the seventh. Kickapoo won 8-5.
Chasney Brown got 2 of the Cardinals’ 4 hits, and she had 2 RBIs.
After Nixa, the Cardinals will be in the Branson tournament Friday and Saturday and then at Ozark on Tuesday. They’ll return home Thursday, Sept. 24, to face the Joplin Eagles.
