Hudson Carey completed a chain of five generations when he was born on Sept. 10. She is held by her mother, Macy Carey, and adored (left to right) by her grandmother, Katie McAllister; great-grandmother, Julie Matchell, and great-great-grandfather, Lloyd Woollen. Hudson and Macy live outside of town, while the others are all Webb City residents.

The Webb City Sentinel isn’t a newspaper – but it used to be, serving Webb City, Missouri, in print from 1879-2020. This “newspaper” seeks to carry on that tradition as a nonprofit corporation.
