In the first place, who is Mayor Dave Engroff, and why is he running for reelection in Webb City? Our mayor, Lynn Ragsdale is not up for reelection.
Secondly, April 2 was the date of the municipal election in 2024. It’s April 8 this year.
An internet search found that Dave Engroff is the mayor of Greenfield. Megan Gandy, utility clerk of Greenfield, reports that Engroff was indeed reelected on April 2, 2024.
How his year-old election sign got planted in Webb City remains a mystery.
The Webb City Sentinel isn’t a newspaper – but it used to be, serving Webb City, Missouri, in print from 1879-2020. This “newspaper” seeks to carry on that tradition as a nonprofit corporation.
