Athletic director John Roderique on Tuesday introduced returning Webb City High School softball players to their new coach, Allyson Stolte.
Stolte is replacing Shauna Friend, who announced in January that her 10-year stint as head coach will come to an end after the junior high season this spring.
Stolte played third base as a Republic Tiger and in college at the University of Arkansas at Monticello and University of Saint Mary.
She has coached softball at Seneca the last two years and is the 18u Legends organization coach in the summer.
She told the girls she has set her goals “super high” and looks forward to working with them starting this summer.
The Webb City Sentinel isn’t a newspaper – but it used to be, serving Webb City, Missouri, in print from 1879-2020. This “newspaper” seeks to carry on that tradition as a nonprofit corporation.
