The Asian culture that’s a big part of the annual Marian Days festival in Carthage is spreading to Webb City this year.
The Asian Food Festival in King Jack Park will coincide with Marian Days, which begins Thursday and continues through Sunday.
Lou, an organizer of the festival with Saigon Night Market out of Florida, says, “In the past I have attended Marian Days, being a Vietnamese Catholic myself. It has always been a beautiful event. We know that Marian Days can get very busy and crowded, and we would like to complement the event and create an outlet to express Asian culture and cuisine for all to enjoy.”
Organizers are leasing the park through the Webb City Parks and Recreation department to operate in the farmers market pavilion.
The festival will start at 4 p.m. Thursday and then at 2 p.m. the other three days. Closing time will be 11 p.m. each night.
It is billed as “four days of incredible food, live entertainment and family fun.”
