Toddlers and their mothers participate in the Baby Bookworms program at Webb City Public Library.
Baby Bookworms introduces toddlers to the joy of literacy and the library
Baby Bookworms, a rather new Webb City Public Library program, has become a favorite activity for little tykes and their parents.
Grace Faucett, youth services librarian, operates the program, with help from Friends of the Library volunteers.
Baby Bookworms is an age-appropriate, hands-on preschool-type experience to introduce the littlest learners to the joys of literacy and the library.
Faucett welcomes toddlers through pre-kindergarten – and their “grown ups.”
The free program is held from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. each Wednesday on the ground floor of the library.
Activities include read-alouds, music and movement, parent-child play stations, and time to check out books. A resource expert on child development topics will be available to answer questions each month.
