Big Boy's big wheels keep on turning

The Sentinel doesn’t leave town much but was drawn to Claremore, Okla., Monday for the chance to see Union Pacific’s Big Boy 4014, the largest and most powerful operating steam locomotive in the world.

Big Boy, based in Cheyenne, Wyo., is completing its Heartland of America Tour. Follow local journalist John Hacker on Facebook to see what it’s like to ride in Big Boy. He rode Tuesday from Coffeyville, Kan. to near Durand, Kan.
