The Webb City boys opened their season Tuesday at Pittsburg with a 67-44 win.
The Cardials outscored the Purple Dragons in each quarter as they led 31-20 at the half and 51-32 at the end of three.
Trae Turner and Jackson Adams both scored 14 points for the Cardinals. Hudson Matthiesen and Carson Anderson added 13 and 11, respectively. Matthisen also grabbed 9 rebounds.
The Cardinals play Nevada at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the first round of the three-day Carthage tournament.
