Boys rebound from tourney losses with win at Rogers Heritage

Webb City boys basketball is headed to Kansas City Friday to take part in the 12 Courts of Christmas. The 7 p.m. game gainst Northeast (Kansas City) will the team’s last before Christmas break.

On Monday, the Cardinals took fourth-place in the Carthage Invitational, with a 60-59 loss to Carl Junction in the third-place game. They began the tournament with a 43-39 win over Nevada but got bumped down in the bracket with a 71-39 loss to Shawnee Mission South.

The Cardinals bounced back with a 79-49 win at Rogers (Ark.) Heritage.

After five games (3-2 record), Jackson Adams leads the team in scoring, with an 11.8-point average per game. He scored 19 against Rogers. Trae Turner and Holden Johnson added 13 and 11 points, respectively.
