Cardinal band parents get preview of new field show
After more than two grueling weeks of band camp in high 90s to 100-plus degree temps, the Webb City Cardinal Pride Marching Band performed an exhibition Friday, Aug. 5, for family, friends, and alumni at the annual Parent Preview.
The evening began with the National Anthem, followed by the playing of football game stand tunes, and concluded with a preview of this year’s marching show titled “To Everything A Season.” This year, the marching show will feature music representing the four seasons, with four solos, and a new energetic marching drill.
The evening ended on the tradition that brings family down on the field to shadow their band member as they march through the show. As is always the case, this exercise produces the much-earned respect from all attempting to keep up with the band members.
