If you're in the Oronogo Greystone neighborhood, take a look at Stan Wallace's Cardinal Cemetery.

Cardinal Cemetery recreated 34 years later

34 years later, Stan Wallace has recreated the Cardinal Cemetery with graves of beaten opponents for Halloween.

Wallace was a senior in 1991 as the Cardinals were hoping to win their second state championship. (Reverse spoiler alert – that was the season they got rooked in the semifinal mud bowl at St. Joseph Benton.)

As a sophomore, Stan was photographed in the St. Joseph Lafayette semifinal racing down the sideline, with coach Jerry Kill keeping step with him.

Today, Stan is a Cardinal father of two players, junior Ben Wallace.

The Sentinel covered Stan Wallace's first Cardinal Cemetery the day after Halloween in 1991.
These were the Players of the Week in that same issue.
