That was followed by a surge of three Cardinals getting pins, Cylis French (138), Gauge Heilburn (144) and Carson Rooks (150).
Blayke Leonard (157) and Raiden Haggard (175) continued the Cardinal scoring with decisions. Haggard’s was an 11-3 major decision.
Louden Bolinger wrapped up the 42-31 win with a pin.

The Webb City girls’ first match was a 45-36 win against Nevada. Lexie Smith (105) started the team’s scoring with a pin. Ivy Nobis (120) followed with a sudden victory in overtime.
After two forfeits, Tatum Christensen (135) resumed the scoring with a pin. Jaiden Wilkerson (190) also got a pin for the Cardinals.
Webb City girls spotted Frontenac 30 points in the nightcap before Christensen started the comeback with a fall. That started a chain reaction of three more pins by Sierra Devore (140), Gracelyn Cook (145), and Kinley Sinclair (155).
Webb City won 42-36.
The squads are traveling to compete in the Union tournament, with the girls Friday and boys Saturday.
