The Webb City boys basketball team will be in Kansas City Thursday seeking their sixth win while competing in the annual 12 Courts of Christmas.
The 5-2 Cardinals have been matched up in a 3:30 p.m. game at HyVee Arena against the St. Joseph Central Indians.
The next home game will be Tuesday, Jan. 2, against McDonald County. On Thursday, Jan. 4, the Cardinals will play William Christman at Joplin in the Kaminsky Classic.
The Cardinals are riding to KC with scoring confidence. They recently defeated Cassville 81-43 and Seneca 88-58.
Team scoring leaders so far are Holton Keith, with 138 points, and Barron Duda, with 105. Eli Pace has 85 points and Omari Jackson has 64.
Duda leads the team in rebounds, with 53.
The Webb City Sentinel isn’t a newspaper – but it used to be, serving Webb City, Missouri, in print from 1879-2020. This “newspaper” seeks to carry on that tradition as a nonprofit corporation.
