Looks like it’s a good thing Webb City is packing a 12-game winning streak for the team’s trip to Ozark Thursday, where the Tigers are unbeaten (23-0).
The Cardinals (19-6) lengthened their winning streak last Thursday with a 3-2 home win over Willard. They followed that Saturday with a sweep of their Webb City Triangular, defeating both Carl Junction and Colgan 3-0.
On the road at Parkview on Tuesday, they also won 3-0.
Webb City took the first two sets from Willard 25-22 and 25-17. But the Tigers came back to tie it a 2-2 with wins of 25-23 and 25-23. Webb City closed out the match with a 15-12 win.
Marlee Harper led in kills with 15, followed by Addy and Kaelyn Maxwell, with 11 each. Jaylee VanBecelaere added 10.
Savannah Crane had six kills, 19 digs and 47 sets.
Avery Gardner had 39 digs, and VanBecelaere had 24 digs.
Webb City will be home again Tuesday against Neosho.
The district tournament will be at Webb City this year. It hasn’t been seeded yet, but Webb City’s 19-6 record is the best so far.
